First/New Look

My ever-patient StarDoc readers have been waiting a while for a look at this one:

Cover art for Omega Games, StarDoc book eight

My publisher decided to update the look of the series covers, thus the hip new design. If you want one for your very own, the book will be hitting the shelves in August.

Wow, it *is* hip! I liked it instantly, though my OCD nature is thinking "It doesn't match!!!" But that's okay, I think I already have it pre-ordered at Borders!

  18. It does look great, but I'm still sort of sad that I won't be able to have a full matching set without rebuying.

Oh, well, at least it looks good *and* not stupid, which is a step up from 90% of covers!

I LOVE your series and reccomend it to everyone I meet who enjoys reading. I even got my mom to read it (she is a diehard mystery only fan) by comparing it to her favorite tv show house, of course she called bs after she read them...she said they were way better than House! I am so glad more are coming out and will wait impatiently for august to roll around.

  22. Being a writer who can barely finish a story, let alone get something published, I have no understanding of how these publishers work. Why set a release date so far off? Why not just release it when its done? The sooner they release it, the sooner they can make money off it.

Oh Lynn. It's a lovely cover. Do you like it? I can't wait to read it. :)

The Atari Kid: There's a lot more to publishing than the author's story. Coverart, production costs, promo, manufacturing the books, etc. Not to mention editing.
